Governor Alex Otti addressed supporters in Umuahia, Nigeria, on Thursday, reaffirming his commitment to the Labour Party and vowing resistance against any manipulation of the 2027 Abia governorship election.
He warned potential riggers to prepare their last wills, stating the outcome will depend on the people’s mandate and divine will amid speculation of overtures from the ruling All Progressives Congress. Otti’s remarks follow his administration’s reforms, including clearing nearly N40 billion in salary backlogs and launching infrastructure projects.
“I’m not defecting to another political party. Those planning to manipulate the Abia State governorship election results in 2027 should first write their own will, because this is our state and we cannot be intimidated,”
