Meta’s Zuckerberg held meetings at White House on Wednesday, source says

WASHINGTON, March 12 (Reuters) – Meta Platforms (META.O), opens new tab Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg held meetings at the White House with Trump administration officials on Wednesday, according to a source familiar with the matter.

“Mark’s continuing the meetings he’s been holding with the administration on American technology leadership,” Meta spokesman Andy Stone said, without confirming the White House visit.

The Facebook founder has grown closer to Trump in recent months, attending his inauguration and co-hosting an inaugural reception.

Just weeks after Trump’s election victory, Zuckerberg traveled to Mar-a-Lago for a private dinner with the president.
