Bayelsa Gears Up For Diri’s Five-Year Anniversary With Project Commissioning

Bayelsa State is preparing to celebrate Governor Douye Diri’s five years in office with a series of project commissioning and groundbreaking ceremonies. Information Commissioner Ebiuwou Koku-Obiyai announced a comprehensive program including 17 projects and three groundbreaking events.
“Other projects are Okaka road opposite Prosco, Dialysis Centre, General Out Patients Hospital, Zipline drone services, Onuebum/Otuoke road, Stadium ground breaking.
“Empowerment of 3000 youths, new Yenagoa City, commissioning of Legislative Quarters, NLC and TUC House, Opolo road, Phase 1, ground breaking of nine story building state Secretariat.
“Others are Sagbama Ekeromor road, Agge Sea Port and road, ICT village, Commissioners quarters, amongst others are to be commissioned,” she explained.
The celebrations will begin with a free medical outreach and will feature the commissioning of key projects such as the Okaka road, Dialysis Centre, Zipline drone services, Onuebum/Otuoke road, Legislative Quarters, NLC and TUC House, and the Agge Sea Port and road. Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held for projects like the new Yenagoa City and a nine-story state secretariat.
Koku-Obiyai emphasized the government’s commitment to evidence-based development and urged Bayelsans to witness the achievements of the Diri administration.
Works Commissioner Moses Teibowei highlighted the quality and standard of the ongoing road projects and affirmed the government’s dedication to infrastructure development.
